I wasn't aware of the plagiarization. Where did you find out that she plagiarized speeches and books? I was under the impression she must have done a good job in her position since they asked her to stay on and the only reason she was caught was because her own parents outed her.
She copied artwork of lesser known artists to a T side by side theyre exactly the same and made profit. I was into this story almost two years or more ago so I can't really remember the sources etc but I remember being fairly outraged. And mostly they kept her on because they didn't want to send a message that white people weren't allowed i.e. In the NAACP and that's not the case at all of course they are! I feel had they outed her from the organization that's how people would have perceived it.
I just can't believe no one could tell she wasn't black! Hindsight is 20/20 though haha. Now everyone is face palming themselves.
But this still is not an example or LOA manifesting success story or anything remotely spiritual like that.
Meditations to change height and eye color?? That's a little much when you can wear platform shoes or buy colored contacts! I personally wear hazel contacts and they have really upped my look haha
Yes. But, I guess they are technically called subliminals.
No, she didn't change her race. Con job, plain and simple.

I dare say it's possible; there are subliminals for tanning and skin-lightening, along with eye colour changes and a host of other stuff. I suppose it's just a matter of programming your DNA to produce more or less melanin – but what this woman tried to (falsely) stand for arguably exceeded skin colour and physical features... and doesn't change the fact that she was born to two Caucasian parents. If it wasn't for her lies, perhaps her self-identification would be no different to using hair dye???
I don't know why she didn't just say, 'I have a lot of respect for the black race; I admire the beauty and talent of women of colour, even though I am myself, a white woman.'
I reckon she's got some fantasist stuff going on. Either way, I think she was using fake tan and wigs... but biokenesis is fascinating, nonetheless! 🤣🤣

Haha! 🤣 A fair point... she definitely did that, but it backfired. I suppose she just doesn't like or 'feel' white, for whatever reason. Who knows? It's baffling, as I don't understand the motive. x x x

Her situation is old, but she came to my attention recently because she is releasing a book. When I first heard about her I wasn't intentionally involved in LOA the way that I am now. I've since seen things about people using meditations and such to attempt to change their eye colors and heights - it made me think of her.
Yes, someone accused her of copying someone's artwork. However, it isn't uncommon at all for people to give their version of famous art. I think the issue raised was that she didn't mention that it was a re do.
I know what you mean, Avaelle. I see where you were going with that; biokenesis? It's a fascinating topic, that! There are loads of channels on YouTube dedicated to subliminals.

This happened years ago haha. She "changed" her race and it has nothing to do with LOA and attracting what she wants. it has to do with racism, and the stealing of art and culture from an already oppressed group of people. She plagiarized and took credit from black art, books, speeches etc. She took awards and positions that should have rightfully been given to black people. Although the situation is funny, it is an extreme case of cultural appropriation and please don't try to use it as an example of LOA or manifestation when it was really just a woman being cruel.
Some could say she was acting as if.

I'd like to add that she lost her career and status but still maintains that she is an African American woman. I personally embrace her as such and have no issue with her joining. (I'm African American). But, maybe it is law of attraction that has me doing that. LOL
I think it's WEIRD though. It's the fact that she's lied I think, that goes against her. It's okay to say, 'I want to embrace racial equality'. Of course – but why LIE? There was one woman I saw interviewed who said the same thing; she'd have been accepted had she been truthful from the start. Personally, I feel she's violated the trust of individuals who've seen her as a powerful, bi-racial woman. She's also potentially smeared her real parents' reputation.
It's okay to admire cultures and experiences different to our own, but I think what she's done is rather odd. To me, it's like a straight man pretending to be a gay because he's intimidated by women (?). She says she's part-black, but she's now been outed as biologically Caucasian... I would love to know why she felt the need to lie? It's pretty fascinating, this story, I must admit!

P.S. I feel this woman could be a compulsive liar, a romanticist and perhaps even a little narcissistic or sociopathic... but I'm not a psychologist, so it wouldn't be right to overly emphasise this.
Personally (and this is just my opinion), I think she's sponged off of government funding and a heroine-esque persona that's spun from total LIES.
I think she has honey-coloured 'white' skin that tans easily, that she's probably enhanced with sunbeds and/or fake tan to appear like she has African-American roots. Let's face it though: variance can happen regardless of whether you're Caucasian or mixed-race. She's exploited this by playing up certain features; that curly hair could well be a wig.
Personally, I think it's sly behaviour. Granted, race is irrelevant when it comes to fighting for racial rights – just like your sexual orientation doesn't matter when being in favour of gay marriage. BUT, this is not what she's doing – she has told bare-faced lies to gain status within the public eye. Had people surmised she was bi-racial, that would be different, but she hasn't. She's making out she has black roots when she doesn't. I feel that's morally wrong, and she's used it for her own gain and not primarily to help others. It's selfish... not to mention ODD behaviour.
