 I would continue doing the technique when it's convenient.   Be sure to visualize him wanting a commitment and don't be there for him just because he's lonely and wants to fill up his time.  

Lanie is right. In a relationship you have to be there though the good and bad times. Don't treat yourself as someone who is just needed when he's lonely.
 

I've been doing PW on my ex for a few months now and I've seen some small successes. First one him coming back into my life and then him spending a lot of time with me etc. We hang out more than any ex couple I know lol
I took a PW break for about two weeks and started it again a few days ago and immediately noticed a good change in the ex. He had recently moved and was saying he was sad and lonely and wants me to come and spend a few nights with him to keep him company so I did. Things were great. Absolutely great. Tonight I decided to talk with him. Let him know how I feel about him still and that I want to maybe try this relationship again and I got shot down. He said he doesn't feel the same way. I asked if we will ever get s chance again and he said he doesn't want to answer that cause his answer could change in the future so I told him alright we'll forget about the future. How do you feel right now? And he said basically that there's no chance for us. It hurts. I cried for a bit and now I'm okay because my gut is still telling me we'll end up together. I can feel it ughhh.
Should I keep on with the PW and visualizing? Should I date this other guy I've been talking to in the meantime? Or would that mess things up. I don't want to throw away a 6 year relationship
