Read up on etheric cord cutting. It cuts negative cords while leaving positive cords. Basically, we connect to people, situations, ideas, with invisible energy cords. Sometimes the cords are negative and it makes us hold negative feelings. Often cords will reattach even after cutting. People do it after remote seduction or visualization (PW, BWD, etc) to detach themselves from the outcome. If you don't, it may leave you feeling obsessed and depressed if the manifestation doesn't happen quickly. It's pretty vital to RS.

I've used it in two very different ways.
I've used it to help me get over someone - and I've also just realised that I have done chord cutting on a couple of people and not chased it up with PW or BWD and they HAVEN'T come back. But on the other hand, at this stage, I actually don't think I WANT them to!
I've ALSO used it with a POI a couple of times when I DID want him back which was more like chord cutting then doing BWD or PW. And that seems to make it easier for me to do the techniques without becoming obsessed.
I really like the CTC and find it helpful and empowering.
Cos the focus is about bringing the power back to you and also being less likely to be manipulated by them too IF they have shown you bad behaviour in the past!
Ratpack has also summed it up brilliantly. And I also agree with all of that, what Ratpack has said in the explanation.
