I discovered this afternoon that I missed a call from him yesterday morning. Don't have voicemail on the line he called so I have no idea what he wanted. Should I call him back or wait for him to try again?

I'd call him. It's common courtesy.

I would call or text him. The way it played out is perfect because he is probably wondering what's up.

If you do speak to him, I wouldn't give him the spill about not having voicemail. I'd just seem like I had a lot going on.

Yes, definitely text or call back. It is just polite to do so and you never know what possibilities this could bring.

Still blocked from texting him thru FB messenger. He must not want to talk to me that badly.
