Scared to succeed

Hello lovely ladies!

I've been away for some time, but I wanted to share some roadblocks I've hit, and how I'm working through these issues, in case anyone else is also having similar issues.

In doing the these techniques and applying LOA, a lot of things have started to surface for me, and I finally found something that appears to be working.

I'm a fairly positive person. I've been doing well at feeling good most of the time. When fears hit, I remind myself of the good things and dismiss the thoughts but the same fears seem to be creeping up, so I now know that trying to push them away is only burying them, until they resurface the next time.

My own personal demons say:
You are using these methods but you can't make things last in a relationship. He's eventually going to change his mind. Things aren't going to work out. If you succeed, it will be short lived. You couldn't make your marriage work, why would this be any different?  If you succeed, you are only prolonging the disappointment. Etc.

So, I needed to come up with ways of fighting these thoughts. The methods work, but in my reality, as much as I'm wanting things to work, I'm scared that things will not last so I'm holding myself apart from what I want so that I don't eventually disappoint myself. I can't run or hide from these thoughts. They are engrained in me, and these are the only obstacles holding me apart from what I want.

I have many desires including a particular guy, money, a bigger home, a business, and the same doubts always haunt me. What if I succeed and I'm not happy still. What if I succeed, and then take a bigger fall. I don't want to be disappointed.  Pushing the thoughts away only works for a little while, but then they come back over and over keeping me stuck. My thoughts are my only hurdle.

So, I've been looking for ways to shift my energy, and I've found an easy method that seems to be working.

Someone posted this yesterday:
https://youtu.be/Zc4Abj6xIAE
At the 1 hour, 50 min mark roughy, there is a clearing method that one can apply to these thoughts to shift yourself.

It's basically this. You write out, or think the belief that is impeding your success. For example, "you will eventually fail". Then you imagine your heart lighting up with pink energy/light and you tell yourself that you love, accept, and forgive yourself despite if you eventually fail or whatever belief you are working with. Then you see your heart energy dissolving this belief and healing you.

The book states that you should keep this process to 15 seconds so that your conscious mind doesn't have a chance to jump in and interfere, and you can get the most benefit from the process.

I've done it a number of times since last night and it feels like release, and I can feel a small shift. The author says to list all your limiting beliefs about your goal before you start the manifestation process and do a clearing for them all, and then visualize each night in theta, and as other beliefs surface, repeat this quick method.

Please let me know if you know of any other ways to shift energy, as just thinking positively, and ignoring underlying beliefs only seems to be yielding limited success in my life. I'm open to trying new things, but aside from think positively, most gurus don't offer too much help as to an actual process to shift major underlying beliefs, which is why I think most people really struggle and fail with LOA.

Cheers!

Re: Scared to succeed

Wow this is awesome I will try that link out. I don't have as much limited thoughts as feelings of void so I'm working best on acting as if I'm going to try this for a shift though of my mind of not worrying as much. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you for sharing your experiences as well as this method.  I can relate to your negative thoughts because
I am a chronic worry wart.  I worry about everything, but I try to remain positive.

I have found that you can change your thoughts this way:  every time some unwanted negativity pops into your
brain, consciously change that thought by saying aloud "NO!"  Out loud only if you are alone or people will think
you're crazy, otherwise just think it.  It also works if you recite a poem, affirmation, prayer or whatever works for
you.  Think about something pleasant like flowers or a puppy - things that you like.  Do this often enough and
you  will eventually eliminate the negativity.

No matter what I do I still worry about stuff, though it may be a defense mechanism, I don't know.  I've had to
fend for myself from an early age and have dealt with just about everything.  Anyway I've eliminated quite
a bit of my negative thoughts by doing this.

Thank you!  I have tried pushing issues aside, by saying no, and reminding myself of good things. I'm just trying to find ways of dislodging these beliefs as I think they just go into hiding and hinder me regardless. Maybe being more firm and vocal would help.
