If you remember I was the one who had the ex who still had my things. Today I felt a strong urge to message him about it . I don't know if this will help me or harm me . Is it better to just not contact until they crack and contact you?

It depends on what the items are. Do they have significant value or do you feel that you would seem petty
to contact him about it? Anyway, as I mentioned to you before, you can arrange for UPS or another shipping
company to pick those things up and have them shipped to you if he is not willing to do that.

Whatever is going on, you need to take control of the situation.

This is your second thread regarding the same topic. Where is he and where are
you and what are your things? If you are in the U.S. (maybe other locations) set up
an account with UPS so that they can bill you. Contact him and let him know to put
your possessions in a box because you've arranged for UPS to come to his address
and collect the box and ship it to you. You may be able to use another shipper but
I know for sure that UPS provides this service, they are the ones that do Amazon
returns. It's not that complex. If your things are something of value and he
refuses to return them, that is theft and could possibly be handled differently.
Most of us have left things behind with BFs, this is not a hill to die on.
